About the Role

The Senior Data Analyst will help build analytics and data infrastructure for a newer business line.

The role begins with strengthening production dashboards and data onboarding, then expands into designing new data models and evaluating additional data sources.

The position requires ownership, stakeholder partnership, clear communication, and comfort with ambiguity.

What You’ll Do

  • Build, maintain, and improve production dashboards and onboarding data pipelines.
  • Design new data models and identify data sources that can strengthen analysis.
  • Partner with Marketing, Product, Operations, and Finance stakeholders on analysis and reporting.
  • Build reliable, well-tested pipelines using dbt, Airflow, and Snowflake.
  • Use AI tooling in daily analysis, pipeline development, and iteration.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Own projects from scoping through delivery.
  • Contribute to data documentation and governance.

Must Haves

  • At least 5 years of experience in analytics engineering, data analytics, or a closely related field.
  • Strong SQL expertise with large or complex datasets.
  • Hands-on experience with a BI tool such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience owning and delivering projects end-to-end.
  • Collaborative communication skills and ability to work in a close-knit team.

Nice to Have

  • Consumer credit or lending analytics experience, ideally from banking.
  • Fintech or SaaS fintech experience.
  • Experience integrating AI tools into daily workflows.
  • Python or another coding language.
  • Experience with dbt, Airflow, and Snowflake.

Employment Type and Workplace

  • The position is permanent and full-time.
  • The role follows a hybrid schedule in downtown Toronto, with three days per week in the office.

Compensation and Benefits

  • The stated salary range is $100,000 to $125,000.
