Senior Finance Officer

Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Planning & Analysis: Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support management decisions.
• Accounting & Reporting: Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and monthly/annual closing.
• Financial Compliance: Ensure adherence to UAE accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial reporting requirements.
• Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow, manage working capital, and oversee bank transactions.
• Cost Control: Analyze costs, identify savings opportunities, and implement cost-control measures.
• Audit & Internal Controls: Coordinate internal and external audits; ensure effective internal controls and risk management practices.
• Reporting & Insights: Prepare management reports, financial statements, and performance dashboards; provide actionable insights to senior management.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to ensure financial efficiency and support business objectives.
• The Senior Financial Officer will hold a Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field and Professional certification: ACCA, CPA, CMA, CA, or equivalent (mandatory).
• You will have a minimum 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a financial institution, other commercial environment or consulting withing the UAE.
• You will have strong knowledge of IFRS/GAAP and local accounting regulations and proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or similar).
• You will have Excellent MS Excel and financial analysis skills with a strong attention to detail.
