An excellent opportunity has arisen within a family holding group in Abu Dhabi, for an experienced Senior Finance Manager.
The role will report into an experienced Group Finance Director, who is seeking a strong leader to manage the Company's finance activities.
This will include accounts, ledgers, reporting systems, budgeting, policy and procedure development, audit and regulatory requirements.
Note: Candidates must be able to pass high-level Abu Dhabi security clearance.

Position Overview
- Develop the Group's financial policies and procedures, and monitor their adoption by the subsidiaries.
- Responsible for ensuring that all financial and accounting process/procedures comply with the Group’s policies
- Responsible for managing monthly/quarterly and annual financial and management accounts, MIS reports.
- Prepare and submit consolidated reporting (Monthly reports and Actual Vs budget) to senior management to support their decision-making.
- Provide guidance and support to the Subsidiaries’ finance departments to gain understanding and effectively apply the promulgated policies, procedures, reporting framework, and Standards.
- Oversee company payments (including payroll), and liaise between subsidiaries and the Group's Finance management to facilitate the daily accounting and reporting transactions.
- Work closely with the management to drive business performance, providing real-time financial information, reports, and analysis to avoid/reduce excessive direct or indirect costs.
- Provide statutory and management reporting guidelines and deadlines to the subsidiaries, and monitor the timeliness and accuracy of the submissions.
- Analyze the company's financial statements and reports in order to provide brief, comprehensive data fact sheet to the management for their understanding.
- Engage in ongoing cost reduction analyses in all areas of the company.
- Prepare the final draft of the annual budget to be submitted to Management and the Board for approval. Additionally, prepare quarterly reviews against budget and analyse the subsidiaries' Budget Vs Actual reports.
- Manage a team of 5, with an indirect team in excess of 15 staff
Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Commerce/Accounting or a similar field; MBA Finance would be advantageous
- Professional Qualifications, such as CA, ACCA and/or CPA, are an advantage
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar position within Financial Control, Financial Reporting, with at least 5 years in a management position
- Strong experience in developing and driving performance
- Experience within Budgeting, Finalisation and Account Closing, IFRS, and Non-For-Profit Standards, Funds Management, Financial Forecasting and Cost Analysis
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal; Arabic would be advantageous
