Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the operation, maintenance, and repair of all building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural elements
- Conduct in depth inspections and assessments to identify potential issues and develop solutions to enhance system performance and reduce downtime
- Lead and mentor the facilities team, providing guidance and fostering a collaborative environment
- Develop and maintain preventive and corrective maintenance programs to ensure all systems function optimally
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors for major repairs and renovations, ensuring all work meets quality standards and budget constraints
- Prepare and manage the facilities budget, including estimating costs for repairs and upgrades
- Conduct energy audits and implement initiatives aimed at sustainability and energy efficiency
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, health and safety standards, and environmental policies
- Prepare detailed reports on facilities performance and project progress for presentation to management
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in facility management
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Facility Management, or related field
- Minimum 5 8 years of experience in facilities management with a focus on engineering roles
- Proven experience overseeing building operations and maintenance, preferably in a senior capacity
- Strong technical expertise in building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities
- Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in facility management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance standards
- Valid UAE driver's license
