About the Role
Emirates Group IT is seeking a Senior ELV Engineer to design, deliver, and support Extra Low Voltage systems including CCTV, access control, biometrics, and gate automation as part of the Employee Facial Recognition Programme.

Responsibilities
- Design system architectures, layouts, SLDs, wiring diagrams, and CAD drawings for biometric, access control, and gate systems
- Review and validate shop drawings for compliance with Emirates Group standards, and prepare method statements, test plans, and handover documentation
- Deliver on site installation of structured cabling, access control panels, biometric devices, and gate hardware
- Configure and commission biometric devices and access control controllers
- Install and commission automated speed gates, performing mechanical and electrical alignment, configuration tuning, throughput validation, and integration with fire and disaster systems
- Ensure end to end integration across biometric, access control, and gate systems; lead functional, fail safe/fail secure, redundancy, and performance testing
- Resolve issues across hardware, software, network, or logic layers; deliver audit ready documentation and system handover to operations and support teams
Requirements
- Degree or Honours (12+3) or equivalent in electrical engineering, electronics, communications engineering, telecom engineering, computer engineering or mechatronics engineering
- Hands on experience working in ELV / security integration projects, preferably in the UAE/GCC
- ELV/Access control system (ACS) /Gate Automation experience is essential
- Hands on experience with low voltage control wiring (including RS485/OSDP, shielding practices, and terminal block terminations)
- Completion of at least 2 full cycle projects involving biometric systems, ACS controllers, and gate/speed gate integration
- Proven experience coordinating with OEMs, suppliers, and third party vendors
- Hands on experience with Maxxess e Fusion access control systems
- Experience implementing and managing Invixium TITAN biometric devices
- Field experience installing and commissioning FAAC speed gates
- Expert in ELV cabling, terminations, crimping, PoE power design, surge grounding, and equipment installation
- Proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD or equivalent)

- The Senior ELV Engineer is responsible for the end to end engineering, delivery, and lifecycle support of Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems across the organisation.
In this role you will
- Design system architectures, layouts, Single Line Diagram (SLDs), wiring diagrams, and Computer Aided Design (CAD) drawings for biometric, access control, and gate systems.
- Review and validate shop drawings for compliance with Emirates Group standards, and prepare method statements, test plans, and handover documentation.
- Deliver on site installation of structured cabling, access control panels, biometric devices, and gate hardware, ensuring correct termination, labelling, shielding, and testing in line with international and Emirates Group standards.
- Configure and commission biometric devices and access control controllers, including enrolment, synchronization, I/O mapping, reader setup, door logic, communication protocols, and event reporting to support secure operations and workflows.
- Install and commission automated speed gates, performing mechanical and electrical alignment, configuration tuning, throughput validation, and integration with fire and disaster systems, resolving site level faults.

Qualifications & Experience
- A Degree or Honours (12+3) or equivalent in electrical engineering, electronics, communications engineering, telecom engineering, computer Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering.
- Hands on experience working in ELV / security integration projects, preferably in the UAE/GCC.
- ELV/Access control system (ACS) /Gate Automation experience is essential.
- Hands on experience with low voltage control wiring (including RS485/Open Supervised Device Control (OSDP), shielding practices, and terminal block terminations.
- Completion of at least 2 full cycle projects involving biometric systems, ACS controllers, and gate/speed gate integration.
- Proven experience coordinating with OEMs, suppliers, and third party vendors to ensure successful end to end system integration.
- Hands on experience with Maxxess e Fusion access control systems.
- Experience implementing and managing Invixium TITAN biometric devices, including enrollment and synchronization via IXM WEB or similar platforms.
- Field experience installing and commissioning FAAC speed gates, including control boards and safety devices.
- Expert in ELV cabling, terminations, crimping, Power Over Ethernet (PoE) power design, surge grounding, and equipment installation.
- Proficiency in Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools (e.g., AutoCAD or equivalent), with the ability to prepare, review, and update system drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, shop drawings, and as built documentation in line with project and Emirates Group standards.
