About the Role

Responsibilities
- Supervise and provide technical support on all aspects of project management from conception to hand over
- Provide professional expertise in selection of contractors including prequalification and bid evaluation
- Contribute to development of detailed statement of requirements and strategy for project phases
- Assist in development of tender documents for Engineering Consultant, PMC and Contractors
- Review contractors' subcontracting strategy and ensure compliance with scope of work
- Coordinate pre commissioning and commissioning procedures and activities
- Monitor progress of work performed by licensors, engineering and EPC contractors
- Conduct risk analysis, Project Health, Safety and Environment reviews
- Evaluate contractors' claims and coordinate final settlement
- Manage issuance of Provisional Acceptance Certificate and contract close out
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in engineering
- 8 years of experience in engineering multi disciplinary functions for design of assets and facilities
- Exposure to preparation of Front End Engineering and Design packages
- Knowledge of gas extraction and processing plant operations
- Knowledge of production engineering principles and project management
- Knowledge of relevant applicable legislation and regulations
- Knowledge of HSE principles and their application relevant to Oil & Gas industry

Job Purpose
- Supervise, study, and provide technical support on all aspects of project management, from conception to hand over to ensure projects are completed in adherence to safety, quality, schedule, cost, and VAP requirements.
Key Accountabilities Projects Engineering
- Provide professional expertise in selection of contractors with emphasis on prequalification, bid evaluation, and site management.
- Contribute to development of detailed statement of requirements and strategy for project phases such as FEED, detailed engineering, construction and commissioning.
- Assist in development of tender documents for Engineering Consultant, PMC and Contractors.
- Review contractors' subcontracting strategy and pre qualification of subcontractors.
- Review and coordinate contractors' pre commissioning and commissioning procedures.
- Coordinate and attend pre commissioning and commissioning meetings with Operations and Maintenance Departments.
- Coordinate purchase requisitions for material and equipment for free issue to EPC/Construction Contractors.
- Supervise activities of assigned specialists during engineering and construction phases.
- Monitor progress of work and identify bottlenecks, recommend corrective actions.
- Review construction strategy, plans, specifications, methods, and procedures for value and cost effectiveness.
- Coordinate value engineering and constructability reviews.
- Review work methods and installations in line with safety measures.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills
- Bachelor Degree in engineering.
- 8 years of experience in engineering multi disciplinary functions for design of assets and facilities.
- Exposure to preparation of Front End Engineering and Design packages.
- Knowledge of gas extraction and processing plant operations, production engineering principles and project management.
- Good engineering concepts and FEED experience.
- Knowledge of relevant applicable legislation and regulations.
- Knowledge of HSE principles and their application relevant to Oil & Gas industry.
