About the Role
ADNOC Group is looking for a Senior Process Safety Engineer to ensure safety and integrity of process operations by identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks.

Responsibilities
- Carry out process safety and risk assessments, hazard identification and hazard operability evaluation studies and analysis.
- Monitor and report the process safety leading and lagging performance indicators as per the Company’s Process Safety KPI metrics.
- Carry out trend analyses of the Plant’s process safety KPIs to evaluate effectiveness and performance.
- Conduct level 1 audit for process safety and operational integrity.
- Follow up and ensure close out of actions relevant to process safety studies and audits’ findings.
- Verify the availability of process safety documentation as per set procedures and standards.
- Investigate near miss incidents related to process safety to prevent recurrence.
- Monitor and analyse various processes (Ensure Safe Production ESP) elements for effectiveness.
- Support Operations Excellence in implementing Operations Integrity initiatives (ESP) at the Plant.
- Provide support in Learning from Incident (LFI) gap analysis related to process safety alerts.
- Update existing procedures related to process safety and ensure compliance with company framework and ADNOC standards.
- Participate in HSE impact assessment studies and review major accident hazards.
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Chemical, Process Engineering, or equivalent professional qualification
- At least 6 years of experience in Process Safety management within a large industrial organization, preferably in the Oil and Gas industry
- Strong knowledge and experience in reviewing, consolidating, and presenting technical reports related to process safety management
- Strong knowledge and experience in process safety and risk assessment studies; and process hazard analysis (PHA)
- Technical ability in understanding process safety management codes and standards
- Very strong knowledge of HSE procedures & practices
- Software skills in HYSIS and PHA PRO (recommended)
- CCPSC (Process Safety Professional Certification) recommended

Job Purpose
- To ensure the safety and integrity of process operations by identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with process safety.
- Involves developing and implementing safety procedures, conducting safety audits, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards.
Key Accountabilities
- Carry out process safety and risk assessments, hazard identification and hazard operability evaluation studies and analysis.
- Monitor and report the process safety leading and lagging performance indicators as per the Company’s Process Safety KPI metrics.
- Carry out trend analyses of the Plant’s process safety KPIs to evaluate the effectiveness and performance of the current processes.
- Conduct level 1 audit for the process safety and operational integrity to ensure the effective implementation of the set processes.
- Follow up and ensure the close out of the actions relevant to process safety studies and audits’ findings.
- Verify the availability of the process safety documentation as per the set procedures and process safety standards’ requirements.
- Investigate near miss incidents related to process safety to prevent recurrence.
- Monitor and analyse various processes (Ensure Safe Production ESP) elements, shift handover, shift meetings etc. for effectiveness.
- Support the Operations Excellence in implementing the Operations Integrity initiatives (Ensure Safe Production ESP) elements at the Plant.
- Provide the necessary support in the Learning from Incident (LFI) in terms of gap analysis related to process safety alerts.
- Provide support to further improve the process safety in order to ensure a safe, efficient and reliable performance.
- Update the existing procedures related to process safety, whenever required, and ensure their compliance with the Company’s process safety management framework, HSEMS, and ADNOC standards.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills
- Bachelor Degree in Chemical, Process Engineering, or an equivalent professional qualification.
- At least 6 years of experience in Process Safety management within a large industrial organization, preferably in the Oil and Gas industry.
- Strong knowledge and experience in reviewing, consolidating, and presenting technical reports related to the process safety management.
- Strong knowledge and experience in process safety and risk assessment studies; and process hazard analysis (PHA).
