About the Role
AECOM is hiring a Senior Process/Commissioning Engineer for sewage treatment plant and infrastructure projects in Dubai. The role involves supervising process and commissioning activities, overseeing testing of mechanical, electrical, and ICA systems, and ensuring compliance with standards.

Responsibilities
- Supervise process and commissioning activities for STPs, pumping stations, and associated infrastructure
- Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of SCADA systems, PLCs, control panels, field instrumentation, and telemetry systems
- Verify functional testing, performance testing, and plant start up in line with contractual and operational requirements
- Review and comment on contractor submissions including shop drawings, commissioning plans, method statements, ITPs, O&M manuals, and FAT/SAT reports
- Coordinate and witness factory acceptance tests (FAT) and site acceptance tests (SAT) for key process and ICA equipment
- Ensure compliance with Dubai Municipality, DEWA, and other applicable authority standards
- Work closely with the contractor to develop and implement commissioning schedules
- Review process control philosophies, P&IDs, and operating sequences
- Lead troubleshooting during pre commissioning and commissioning stages
- Monitor progress of commissioning activities and provide status updates
- Review and verify as built documentation, including commissioning records and performance test results
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and inspectors
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Control Systems
- Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in design, construction, and commissioning of STPs, pumping stations, and wastewater infrastructure
- Proven experience in process operations, testing, and commissioning of treatment plant equipment and ICA systems
- Strong knowledge of STP process design, pumping systems, and water/wastewater treatment technologies
- Familiarity with SCADA integration, PLC programming principles, and instrumentation calibration
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and scheduling software (Primavera preferred)

Minimum Requirements

- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and Primavera.
- Proven leadership skills.
