Company Description

Job Summary

  • The Process/Commissioning Engineer will work under the supervision of the Resident Engineer and Project Manager on major STP, pumping station, and wastewater infrastructure projects in Dubai.

Job Duties

  • Supervise process and commissioning activities for STPs, pumping stations, and associated infrastructure.
  • Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of SCADA systems, PLCs, control panels, field instrumentation, and telemetry systems.
  • Verify functional testing, performance testing, and plant start up.
  • Review and comment on contractor submissions.
  • Coordinate and witness FAT and SAT.
  • Ensure compliance with local authority standards.
  • Develop and implement commissioning schedules.
  • Review process control philosophies, P&IDs, and operating sequences.
  • Lead troubleshooting during pre commissioning and commissioning.
  • Monitor progress and provide status updates.
  • Review as built documentation.
  • Mentor junior engineers.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Control Systems.
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in process operations, testing, and commissioning of treatment plant equipment and ICA systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of STP process design and water/wastewater treatment technologies.
  • Familiarity with SCADA integration, PLC programming, and instrumentation calibration.
  • Understanding of HSE requirements for commissioning.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and Primavera.
  • Proven leadership skills.
