Senior Engineer – Engineering Production Support

Role Overview

Engine Technical Support

• Review engine workscope, technical requirements, and customer inputs against OEM manuals and approved data.
• Prepare and update Engine Work Instructions, repair task definitions, and workscope documents.
• Provide technical recommendations for effective execution of engine shop activities.

OEM Documentation and Authority Support

• Review, interpret, and implement OEM documentation including SBs, ADs, SILs, Repair Memos, and Engineering Letters.
• Prepare engineering responses, technical notices, and implementation plans under approved engineering procedures.
• Assess the impact of OEM changes on shop capability, tooling, and processes.

Reporting and Analysis

• Prepare and review Induction, Tear Down, and Final engine technical reports.
• Analyze technical findings and engine condition data for troubleshooting, defect analysis, and root cause investigations.
• Support corrective and preventive action development to improve quality and turnaround time.

Shop Floor and Customer Support

• Act as a first-line engineering focal point for shop-floor technical queries within the assigned scope.
• Provide technical clarifications, task resolutions, and engineering guidance during engine build and repair.
• Coordinate with Planning, Quality, Materials, and Production to support smooth engine workflow.

Compliance and Improvement

• Ensure engineering activities comply with regulatory, OEM, and company quality requirements.
• Maintain engineering records, technical logs, and document traceability and support audits with technical evidence.
• Participate in improvement initiatives and keep current with relevant OEM, regulatory, and industry developments.
• Share technical knowledge and lessons learned with engineering and production support teams.

Qualifications and Experience

• A Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace or Aeronautical Engineering, or an equivalent discipline, is required.
• Six to eight years of relevant aviation experience are required, preferably in an engine MRO environment.
• Hands-on engineering support experience on at least one major engine program is required.
• Exposure to at least one of V2500, Trent 700, GEnx, or LEAP engine types is required.

Job-Specific Competencies

• Solid understanding of engine maintenance practices, OEM manuals, and approved repair data.
• Ability to independently resolve routine and moderately complex technical issues.
• Proficiency in engineering reports, work instructions, and technical notices.
• Working knowledge of EASA, FAA, and airworthiness compliance requirements.
• Structured troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective action skills.
• Clear technical communication in written and verbal English.
• High accuracy in engineering analysis and documentation control.
• Ability to operate with minimal supervision and understand escalation boundaries.
