Role Overview
The Senior Engineer will lead bridge and transportation structural design projects through concept, detailed design, construction and handover.
The role combines technical design leadership, project management, client coordination and support for junior engineers.
Responsibilities
- Lead delivery of bridge and transportation structural design projects.
- Manage projects from concept through detailed design, construction and handover.
- Undertake and oversee bridge and structural design and detailing in line with relevant standards.
- Carry out and review structural analysis and design calculations.
- Manage independent design checks, including Category checks.
- Plan, programme and manage project delivery, resources and budgets.
- Act as the main client and stakeholder contact.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams for integrated delivery.
- Provide leadership, mentoring and technical support to junior engineers.
- Ensure quality, safety and compliance across deliverables.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Bridge Design Engineer across all project phases.
