What you Will Do:
Pratt & Whitney Controls & Diagnostic Systems (CDS) is a dynamic engineering organization focused on the development and certification of military and commercial gas turbine engine control and diagnostic systems. CDS is responsible for all aspects of Pratt & Whitney engine control and diagnostic system development and support, including requirements analysis & definition, system & software architecture, algorithm design, product software design, verification & validation and engine and flight test support.
The CDS organization is seeking a highly motivated, team oriented, and results driven Senior Engineer to join the Engine System Software organization.
The qualified candidate will be responsible for:
Develop software requirements and designs within the Agile Framework:
Decompose system level and customer interface requirements into software requirements and designs
Document traceability or rationale for derived requirements and designs
Conduct iterative prototype testing of requirements and designs
Perform reviews of requirements and designs
Participate in software planning, estimating and tracking
Produce software requirement and design specifications

What You Will Learn:

Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
5 years of engineering experience or 3 years with an advanced degree
Qualifications We Prefer:
Controls Systems development and support
Solid track record of achieving results in a technical role
Ability to work in a dynamic, high pressure engineering environment
Prior experience developing software in an Agile framework
Prior safety critical software development experience
Knowledge of regulatory standards such as DO178B
Outstanding cross discipline communication skills
Familiarity with jet engine control and diagnostic system architectures and control logic design
