What You Will Do:
We are seeking a talented and forward-thinking Software Engineering Intern to join our team in Windsor Locks, Connecticut. You will be working with experienced engineers who are eager to share their expertise in flight control embedded software systems. As part of a small team, you will contribute to the development and verification of the latest generation of aerospace software.

Design, develop, and test safety critical flight control software
Ensure compliance with industry standards such as DO-178C
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve high-quality and reliable software solutions
What You Will Learn:
Understand the basics of embedded systems and how software interacts with hardware components in aerospace systems
Gain proficiency in programming languages commonly used in aerospace applications, such as C and Python
Learn to use integrated development environments (IDEs), version control systems (e.g., Git), and other software development tools
Gain knowledge of industry standards and regulations, such as DO-178C for avionics software
Develop problem-solving skills by troubleshooting and debugging software issues that arise during development and testing

Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in an applicable discipline and actively enrolled through completion of the internship / co-op session.
Must have a minimum of 90 hours of credit by the start of the internship / co-op session.
