About the Role

Responsibilities
- Lead aircraft engineering activities to ensure continued airworthiness, regulatory compliance, operational reliability, and fleet availability across supported aircraft fleets
- Act as the primary technical liaison with OEMs, design authorities, vendors, regulatory bodies, and customer engineering teams
- Oversee the evaluation, implementation, and compliance of service bulletins, engineering orders, technical publications, and configuration changes
- Coordinate with CAMO, MRO, Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to ensure maintenance activities and configuration management are executed in line with approved data
- Drive fleet reliability improvement initiatives through technical analysis, engineering solutions, performance monitoring, and implementation of strategic engineering programs
- Lead technical projects and fleet enhancement initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to engineering governance standards
- Provide expert technical guidance and engineering support to cross functional stakeholders
- Supervise, mentor, and develop engineering personnel
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (B.Eng. / BSc) in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or Aeronautical Engineering, or equivalent qualification OR Holder of a valid ICAO Type II License within minimum of 6 years of job related experience
- Proven experience in an airworthiness, reliability, or technical support engineering role within a Continuing Airworthiness Maintenance Organization (CAMO) of a reputable airline
- Proven experience using Maintenance Information Systems (MIS) such as TRAX, or equivalent platforms
- Strong knowledge of aircraft systems, powerplant, and structural configurations
- Proficient in OEM platforms such as Airman/AHM, Airbus World, My Boeing Fleet, and Maintenance Performance Toolbox (MPT)
- Sound knowledge of airworthiness requirements, company policies, maintenance procedures, and technical standards
- Excellent communication and technical report writing skills in English

About the role
- We are currently recruiting for Senior Development Engineer to join our MRO Services team.
- You will be responsible for ensuring that Qatar Executive’s fleet and contracted third party customer aircraft requirements are continuously maintained in full compliance with all applicable airworthiness regulations.
Accountabilities
- Lead aircraft engineering activities to ensure continued airworthiness, regulatory compliance, operational reliability, and fleet availability across supported aircraft fleets.
- Act as the primary technical liaison with OEMs, design authorities, vendors, regulatory bodies, and customer engineering teams to obtain technical clarifications, approvals, and engineering solutions.
- Oversee the evaluation, implementation, and compliance of service bulletins, engineering orders, technical publications, and configuration changes in accordance with approved procedures.
- Coordinate with CAMO, MRO, Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to ensure maintenance activities and configuration management are executed in line with approved data and airworthiness requirements.
- Drive fleet reliability improvement initiatives through technical analysis, engineering solutions, performance monitoring, and implementation of strategic engineering programs.
- Lead technical projects and fleet enhancement initiatives, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to engineering governance standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational objectives.
- Provide expert technical guidance and engineering support to cross functional stakeholders, resolving complex fleet, engine, system, and operational challenges.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop engineering personnel, ensuring technical accuracy, regulatory compliance, knowledge transfer, and consistent application of engineering standards.
- Establish departmental objectives, monitor performance, and manage resources to achieve business goals while maintaining high standards of service delivery and operational excellence.
- Promote a culture of safety, quality, environmental responsibility, data protection, and continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with corporate policies, aviation regulations, and industry best practices.
About You
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (B.Eng. / BSc) in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or Aeronautical Engineering, or equivalent qualification OR Holder of a valid ICAO Type II License within minimum of 6 years of job related experience
- Proven experience in an airworthiness, reliability, or technical support engineering role within a Continuing Airworthiness Maintenance Organization (CAMO) of a reputable airline
- For Qatari Nationals: Bachelor’s degree without prior experience
- Proven experience using Maintenance Information Systems (MIS) such as TRAX, or equivalent platforms, for maintenance planning, reliability tracking, and engineering data management
Job Specific Skills
- Strong knowledge of aircraft systems, powerplant, and structural configurations, supported by OEM aircraft type training.
- Proficient in OEM platforms such as Airman/AHM, Airbus World, My Boeing Fleet, and Maintenance Performance Toolbox (MPT).
- Experienced in using Airbus Technical Request and Boeing Service Request systems for troubleshooting and technical investigations.
- Sound knowledge of airworthiness requirements, company policies, maintenance procedures, and technical standards.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and decision making skills with a focus on reliability and operational performance.
- Proficient in MIS and other technical systems used within Technical Operations.
- Excellent communication and technical report writing skills in English.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Engineering, Maintenance, Production Planning, OEMs, vendors, and customers.
- Proactive, self motivated, and capable of managing priorities with minimal supervision.
