Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Database Administrator / Database Systems Engineer to administer and support campus-wide relational databases across production, instructional, development, and enterprise computing environments. The role requires strong expertise in Oracle Database, Microsoft SQ
Key Responsibilities
- Administer campus-wide relational databases supporting production, instructional, development, and enterprise systems.
- Install, configure, maintain, upgrade, and monitor database management systems.
- Support Oracle Database, Microsoft SQL Server, and PostgreSQL environments.
- Perform routine database maintenance and administration.
- Ensure databases remain on the latest stable supported versions.
- Maintain database availability, reliability, and performance.
- Create and manage schemas, tables, tablespaces, indexes, views, queries, stored procedures, user roles, and user profiles.
- Control and monitor database access and security configurations and permissions.
- Monitor database security tools and ensure appropriate security controls are maintained.
- Monitor audit logs and database activity logs.
- Diagnose and resolve database and system issues.
- Perform database performance tuning and optimization.
