A government entity in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Senior Data & AI Expert to lead advanced AI and data capabilities across major programs and projects.
The role is intended for a builder who can architect solutions, write production code, solve complex technical problems, and coach technical teams.

What You’ll Do
- Build and ship production AI and data solutions across enterprise platforms and project portfolios.
- Develop GenAI and LLM applications, predictive analytics, and data intelligence systems.
- Design enterprise data platforms, lakehouse or warehouse environments, and AI architectures.
- Establish MLOps, DataOps, data governance, and responsible AI standards.
- Write and review production-grade Python and SQL code.
- Lead technical due diligence and build-versus-buy decisions.
- Translate business challenges into high-impact AI and data initiatives.
- Mentor and technically coach data scientists, engineers, and analysts.
- Engage senior leadership and shape the organization’s AI and data roadmap.
What We’re Looking For
- At least 8 years of experience in data engineering, data science, or AI.
- At least 3 years of experience leading technical teams or major programs.
- Candidates must have production coding experience within the last 12 months.
- Expert Python and SQL skills are required.
- Strong enterprise data architecture experience is required.
- Deep knowledge of ML, deep learning, NLP, GenAI, and LLMs is required, including RAG, fine-tuning, evaluation, and AI agents.
- Expert-level experience with Azure, AWS, GCP, or OCI is required.
- Strong MLOps and DataOps experience is required.
- Experience with data governance, cataloguing, lineage, and quality frameworks is required.
- Strong understanding of data security, privacy, and responsible AI is required.
- Fluent Arabic and English are mandatory.
- A Bachelor’s degree is required; a Master’s degree or PhD is preferred.
