Responsibilities
- Own and evolve credit risk frameworks across personal loans, auto finance, credit cards, BNPL, and SME lending
- Set risk appetite, concentration limits, and portfolio guardrails across consumer and business banking segments
- Lead scorecard and rating model design, underwriting standards, and digital origination/decisioning pipelines
- Monitor portfolio performance, early warning indicators, and collections/recovery strategy
- Drive adoption of behavioural scoring, alternative data, and open banking data in credit decisioning
- Build and lead a high performing credit risk team, and act as the risk voice in product development
- Report into the CCO/CRO and support Credit Risk Committee and Board level reporting
Requirements
- 8–12 years' progressive experience in retail or SME credit risk management
- 3–4 years in a senior leadership role
- International experience outside the GCC highly preferred
- Strong expertise in credit policy design, IFRS9 provisioning, and consumer or business portfolio management
- Track record implementing digital first, automated credit platforms
- Experience working with bureau, open banking, and alternative data providers

Job Overview
- We are hiring a Senior Credit Manager to own the credit risk framework across retail and SME lending for a fast growing FinTech in the UAE.
Key Responsibilities
- Owning and evolving credit risk frameworks across personal loans, auto finance, credit cards, BNPL, and SME lending (working capital, trade finance, supply chain finance).
- Setting risk appetite, concentration limits, and portfolio guardrails across consumer and business banking segments.
- Leading scorecard and rating model design, underwriting standards, and digital origination/decisioning pipelines.
- Monitoring portfolio performance, early warning indicators, and collections/recovery strategy.
- Driving adoption of behavioural scoring, alternative data, and open banking data in credit decisioning.
- Building and leading a high performing credit risk team, and acting as the risk voice in product development.

Requirements
