- Lead and grow a team of 20+ engineers, hiring and developing managers, technical leads and engineers
- Own the technical architecture for core trading systems including order management and execution, market data pipelines, and real time portfolio infrastructure
- Drive engineering roadmap decisions balancing scalability, regulatory requirements and business priorities
- Stay hands on through design reviews, code reviews and architectural decisions
- Establish processes for incident management, release governance and engineering scalability
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years in senior leadership roles managing teams of 20+ engineers
- Proven experience building a trading platform — order management, execution systems, or market data infrastructure
- Strong background in distributed systems, microservices and cloud native architecture (AWS, Azure or GCP)
- Experience with low latency, high throughput systems
- Must currently be at a consumer investment or trading platform

About the Role
- We're partnering with a fast growing startup in Dubai building a new investment platform.
- They're looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the team responsible for the core trading and investment infrastructure, reporting directly into the General Manager.
- This is a hands on leadership role — you'll own technical strategy and architecture while staying close to the code, balancing people leadership with genuine engineering depth.

What We're Looking For
