Role Overview
The employer is seeking a Senior Cost Planner and Benchmarking Manager to lead cost planning and benchmarking for construction and infrastructure programmes.
The role supports accurate project cost assessments, robust cost standards, cost efficiency, and commercial decision-making across the project portfolio.
Cost Planning and Benchmarking
- Lead cost planning and benchmarking functions.
- Ensure accurate and evidence-based project cost assessments.
- Establish cost standards and drive cost efficiency across the full project portfolio.
- Provide Procurement and Project Development teams with commercial intelligence at each stage gate.
Cost Estimation
- Develop and manage comprehensive cost estimation processes for construction and infrastructure projects.
- Prepare detailed elemental cost plans covering labor, materials, equipment, and overheads.
- Align cost plans with project specifications, RIBA stage outputs, and approved CAPEX budgets.
Collaboration
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, quantity surveyors, and engineers to gather scope information for accurate assessments.
