About the Role
Lamprell is seeking a Senior Cost Engineer to lead cost function activities for major oil and gas projects. The role requires 10+ years of experience, with at least 5 years in a Cost Engineer capacity, and a degree in cost management, quantity surveying, or engineering.

Responsibilities
- Prepare a budget breakdown from the PED based on tasks and allocation, review with Projects Team, and upload in Compass
- Ensure maintenance of Oracle systems
- Prepare invoices as per contract milestones or agreed payment terms with supporting documentation
- Update project cashflow with project manager and submit to finance, highlighting major deviations
- Prepare estimates and assess cost impact of changes, monitor actuals of all project changes
- Update and compile contract cost report across full portfolio including VOWD, Forecast to Go, Estimate at Completion, Variance Analysis
- Liaise with engineering, procurement and construction functions to maintain awareness of project activities and impact on budget
- Participate in project cost performance meetings as required
- Support project cost close out process and ensure project balance sheet is clear
- Prepare monthly project review cost slides for PMT review
- Attend Client Project Controls monthly meetings as required
- Provide updated project budgets and revenue details for business unit budget forecasts
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience preferable in major oil and gas projects
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a Cost Engineer capacity
- Degree qualification in cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or similar
- Advanced Excel skills and experience using cost estimation and risk analysis software
- Thorough understanding of project execution process and ability to interpret contract terms, conditions and specifications
- Familiarity with total cost management techniques and cost engineering practices

Overall Purpose of Role
- Cost Engineer will support (and lead if required) the cost function ensuring that all commercial project related activities are carried out in accordance with Company Policies and Procedures.
Primary Responsibilities, Authorities & Accountabilities
- Responsible for personal safety and working within HSEQ processes.
- Ensure effective communication between cost function and key stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with cost function processes and regular review.
- Prepare budget breakdown from PED, review with Projects Team, upload in Compass.
- Ensure maintenance of Oracle systems.
- Prepare invoices as per contract milestones with support documentation.
- Update project cashflow with project manager and submit to finance.

Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years’ experience preferable in major oil and gas projects.
