About the Role
Lamprell is seeking an experienced Instrument Fitter for offshore construction jobs in Dubai. The role involves reading construction drawings, installing instrumentation piping and tubing, assembling instrument stands and panels, and ensuring compliance with HSES policies.

Responsibilities
- Read and interpret basic construction drawings such as equipment layout, cable tray/ladder layout, P&IDs, general arrangement drawings and instrument hook up drawings
- Identify, select, and safely operate instrumentation tools such as hand benders, hydraulic benders, bench benders
- Perform various bends, offsets and stack up to 5 tubing lines consecutively to device or rack
- Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install primary piping and tubing including stainless steel tubes, galvanized pipes, cable trays/ladders in various sizes and lengths
- Identify type and sizes of pipes, tubes, and related materials as per drawings
- Assemble and install instrument stands, control panels, JB's, instruments, trays/ladders
- Measure, cut, thread, and install small bore piping for pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Perform/assist pressure testing of installed tubes and small bore pipes
- Ensure compliance to HSES policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with all applicable information security policies & procedures
Requirements
- ITI / ITC in instrumentation with 5 years' experience in construction as instrument fitter for Offshore Jobs
- Ability to read and interpret basic construction drawings such as equipment layout, cable tray/ladder layout, P&IDs, general arrangement drawings and instrument hook up drawings
- Understanding of basic instrumentation requirements
- Ability to identify, select, and safely operate instrumentation tools such as hand benders, hydraulic benders, bench benders

- Ability to measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install primary piping and tubing including stainless steel tubes, galvanized pipes, cable trays/ladders

- Ability to assemble and install instrument stands, control panels, JB's, instruments, trays/ladders
- Expertise to measure, cut, thread, and install small bore piping for pneumatic and hydraulic systems

- Knowledge of specifications and standards about instrumentation activities in Oil and Gas industry
- Physically fit and able to work in extreme climatic conditions

Instrument Fitter

Role Specific Competencies
- Minimum Education: ITI / ITC in instrumentation with 5 years' experience in construction as instrument fitter for Offshore Jobs.
- Understanding all appropriate aspects of HSE procedures as related to his job function.
- Physically fit and able to work in extreme climatic conditions.
- Good communications skills.
- Good knowledge of their trade combined with experience in a maritime fabrication yard environment.
