Role Overview

  • Our client, a leading multinational engineering company involved in major Oil & Gas projects is seeking a Senior Contracts Engineer who will be responsible for managing the full contract lifecycle, from tender preparation and evaluation through contract award and post award administration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare contractual and commercial aspects of tenders in consultation with user departments.
  • Develop, prepare, and compile tender and contract documentation in coordination with Legal and Finance teams to ensure commercial viability, legal compliance, clear interpretation, and ease of administration.
  • Develop bidder lists, including conducting pre qualification exercises and evaluations.
  • Administer tendering activities, including preparing tender clarifications, tender bulletins, and conducting pre tender meetings.
  • Coordinate technical and unpriced commercial evaluations of tenders.
  • Conduct priced commercial evaluations of technically acceptable bids.
  • Prepare techno commercial evaluation reports and recommendations.
  • Prepare contracts for all goods and services requirements as requested by user departments.
  • Provide post award contract administration support as required.
  • Review, advise, and negotiate revised terms, variation orders, change orders, claims, and other contractual matters.
  • Prepare Project Steering Committee, Tender Committee, and Dolphin Project Tender Committee (DPTC) submissions.
  • Ensure compliance with internal governance procedures and contractual requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in contract administration within the oil and gas industry.
  • Previous Middle East experience is preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of commercial and legal contracting practices.
  • Experience with SAP.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong planning, organizing, and teamwork capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general PC applications.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Arabic language skills are an advantage.

Compensation

  • Salary: QAR 18,000 per month (All Inclusive)

Schedule

  • Employment Type: Full Time Contract
  • Contract Duration: 12 Months (Extendable)
  • Working Days: Sunday to Thursday
  • Working Hours: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
