- Develop and execute external communications strategies that amplify Careem’s mission, services, and impact
- Manage media relations including press outreach, press release drafting, and maintaining relationships with journalists and influencers
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align messaging and ensure consistent communication
- Handle crisis communication and reputation management in partnership with senior leadership
- Track media coverage and create regular reporting to assess effectiveness
- Support executive visibility through media interviews, speaking opportunities, and authored content
- Support internal communications, including leadership emails, all hands content, and campaigns
Requirements
- 5 7 years of experience in communications, public relations, or journalism
- Proven experience developing and executing strategic communications plans across multiple markets
- Strong writing, storytelling, and editorial skills
- Excellent media network and relationship management skills, particularly in the MENA region
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast paced environment
- Fluency in both English and Arabic is required

What You'll Do

- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Product, Marketing, Policy, etc.) to align messaging and ensure consistent communication
- Handle crisis communication and reputation management in partnership with senior leadership
- Track media coverage and create regular reporting to assess effectiveness and guide improvements
- Support executive visibility through media interviews, speaking opportunities, and authored content
- Execute external and internal communications strategies that amplify Careem’s mission, services, and impact
- Support internal communications, including leadership emails, all hands content, org announcements, and campaigns
What You'll Need
- 5 7 years of experience in communications, public relations, or journalism, preferably within a high growth tech company or leading PR agency
- Proven experience developing and executing strategic communications plans across multiple markets
- Strong writing, storytelling, and editorial skills with an ability to translate complex topics into compelling narratives
- Excellent media network and relationship management skills, particularly in the MENA region
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast paced environment with a proactive and solutions oriented mindset
- Fluency in both English and Arabic is required
