- Lead commercial planning, pricing strategies, and profitability enhancement initiatives
- Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize contracts including ship repair agreements, EPC contracts, and offshore service contracts
- Manage contractual risks, claims, disputes, and variations effectively
- Lead tendering processes including commercial evaluation, cost analysis, and bid submissions
- Prepare and monitor project budgets and financial forecasts
- Oversee invoicing, revenue recognition, and payment follow ups
- Maintain strong relationships with ship owners, offshore operators, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Identify commercial risks and develop mitigation strategies
- Lead and mentor the commercial team
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Business Administration, Marine Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 15 18 years of progressive commercial experience
- Mandatory experience in shipyard operations (ship repair, shipbuilding, offshore fabrication)
- Strong knowledge of FIDIC or marine contract frameworks
- Proven track record in handling high value marine/offshore projects
- Excellent negotiation and leadership skills
- Strong financial and commercial acumen
- Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office applications

Job Summary
- We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Commercial Manager with extensive shipyard Maintenance/Dry Dock experience to lead and manage all commercial and contractual activities within our shipyard operations in Abu Dhabi.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive commercial strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Lead commercial planning, pricing strategies, and profitability enhancement initiatives.
- Provide strategic guidance to senior management on commercial risks and opportunities.
- Drive revenue growth while maintaining cost control and margin optimization.
- Monitor market trends within the marine and offshore sectors to identify business opportunities.
- Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize contracts including ship repair agreements, EPC contracts, offshore service contracts, subcontractor agreements, and variation orders.
- Ensure contracts comply with UAE maritime laws and international marine standards.
- Manage contractual risks, claims, disputes, and variations effectively.
- Interpret and administer contract clauses related to payment terms, penalties, liquidated damages, warranties, and performance guarantees.
- Oversee contract lifecycle management from tender stage to project close out.
- Lead tendering processes including commercial evaluation, cost analysis, and bid submissions.
- Review pricing models and cost breakdown structures for ship repair and new build projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quantity Surveying, Business Administration, Marine Engineering, or related field.
- Master’s Degree or professional certifications (MRICS, MBA, or equivalent) will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 15–18 years of progressive commercial experience.
- Mandatory experience in shipyard operations (ship repair, shipbuilding, offshore fabrication).
- Strong knowledge of FIDIC or marine contract frameworks.
- Proven track record in handling high value marine/offshore projects.
- Excellent negotiation and leadership skills.
- Strong financial and commercial acumen.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office applications.
