About the Role

- Architect and deploy secure, scalable, and cost optimised cloud infrastructure for fintech applications
- Develop and maintain IaC using Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates

- Implement security best practices including IAM, encryption, and network security to meet regulatory standards
- Monitor and optimise cloud performance using CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, or Datadog
- Implement cost optimisation strategies including reserved instances, spot instances, and auto scaling
- Design and implement disaster recovery strategies and high availability architectures
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior cloud engineers
- Participate in troubleshooting and resolution of cloud related incidents
- Stay updated on emerging cloud technologies and fintech trends
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering
- Experience with AWS and/or GCP in fintech or regulated industry
- Hands on experience with IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS)
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
- Knowledge of networking concepts (VPC, subnets, VPN, load balancers)
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack)
- Understanding of microservices architectures and serverless computing
- Familiarity with fintech compliance requirements (PCI DSS, GDPR, SOC 2, ISO 27001)
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Architect and deploy secure, scalable, and cost optimised cloud infrastructure for fintech applications.
- Develop and maintain IaC using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Azure ARM templates.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate cloud infrastructure with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
- Implement security best practices including IAM, encryption, and network security to meet PCI DSS, GDPR, SOC 2.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering.

- Hands on experience with IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, ECS).
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP or Azure) with relevant certifications.
- Expertise in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
- Knowledge of networking concepts (VPC, subnets, VPN, load balancers).
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
