Senior Civil BIM Engineer

Role Overview

Civil and Infrastructure BIM

• Develop Civil 3D and Revit models to LOD 300–500.
• Model roads, highways, bridges, water, sewer, stormwater, TSE, grading, and site works.
• Integrate survey and COGO data, alignments, corridors, profiles, surfaces, and civil interfaces.
• Translate design intent into coordinated models and incorporate design changes and RFI outcomes.

Coordination and QA/QC

• Lead federated model coordination with Navisworks Manage or ACC Model Coordination.
• Identify, track, and resolve clashes across civil, structural, MEP, landscape, and other disciplines.
• Maintain coordination logs, issue trackers, and clash reports through closure.
• Apply BIM Execution Plan requirements, modeling standards, LOD/LOI requirements, and project procedures.
• Conduct model QA/QC for coordinates, parameters, model health, exports, and data validation.

Deliverables and Site Support

• Produce shop drawings, traffic diversion plans, quantity take-offs, earthwork volumes, and 4D sequencing information.
• Support as-built and record model development through redline integration and survey verification.
• Provide BIM-based support for construction sequencing, RFIs, field verification, and technical coordination.

Leadership and Data Management

• Mentor junior BIM modelers, technicians, and draftsmen and review model outputs for accuracy and constructability.
• Represent the Civil BIM function in meetings with consultants, contractors, and client representatives.
• Support COBie asset data, civil model versions, CDE publishing, BIM templates, workflows, and content libraries.

Required Technical Skills

• Advanced or expert Autodesk Civil 3D and Revit skills are required.
• Advanced Navisworks Manage or ACC Model Coordination skills are required.
• Required knowledge includes AutoCAD, Autodesk Construction Cloud or BIM 360, civil infrastructure, clash detection, and BIM QA/QC.
• Required domain knowledge includes roads, highways, bridges, utilities, grading, site development, survey or COGO integration, and civil model coordination.
• Required knowledge includes ISO 19650, BIM Execution Plans, CDE workflows, document and model information management, COBie, and FM handover workflows.
• Dynamo and Power BI awareness is an advantage.

Qualifications and Experience

• A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction technology, or a related discipline is required.
• At least 12 years of BIM modeling or engineering experience on civil and infrastructure projects is required.
• Large-scale GCC project experience and experience with roads, highways, bridges, wet utilities, and site infrastructure are required.
• Autodesk Certified Professional certification is preferred.
• ISO 19650 awareness or certification is an advantage.
• English is required and Arabic is an advantage.

• The role is site or project-based.
• Immediate availability is preferred.
