About the Role
ADNOC Group is seeking a Senior Chemist to supervise and carry out laboratory activities for process streams and HSE samples in Abu Dhabi. The role involves developing analytical methods, verifying test results, managing quality control, and ensuring compliance with ISO standards.

Responsibilities
- Verify analytical test results in accordance with customer agreed requirements
- Carry out non routine analysis using advanced methods and techniques for technical studies
- Develop new analytical test methods to improve lab performance and efficiency
- Plan and supervise Lab Analysis Schedules and report deviations
- Monitor stock of Laboratory Chemicals, spare parts, glassware, and consumables
- Maintain Laboratory Documentation system including procedures, manuals, and specifications
- Develop and maintain Business Management System (BMS) in conformity with ISO standards
- Participate in audits and perform root cause analysis for closure of CAPAs
- Consolidate laboratory budget input, prepare CAPEX and OPEX, monitor purchasing and expenses
- Establish and monitor QA/QC program through international PT scheme and internal checks
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Chemistry
- 8 years of experience in chemistry activities including chemical analyses on initial, in process and final products, and samples within a large industrial organization, preferably in Oil and Gas
- Strong working background in analytical chemistry and failure analysis
- Good working knowledge of various laboratory instruments with troubleshooting ability
- Good knowledge of various measuring and analysis methodologies and tools
- Very good knowledge in ISO/IEC 17025 2017 & 9001:2015, ISO14001, and ISO 45001 requirements and implementations
- Knowledge of HSE procedures & practices
- Excellent verbal and writing skills

Job Purpose
- Supervise, analyze and carry out the activities within the laboratory for all process streams and HSE related samples. Develop, improve, and customize formulas, processes, and analytical methods to maintain the laboratory performance and reliability.
Key Accountabilities
- Verify analytical test results in accordance with customer agreed requirements.
- Carry out non routine analysis using advanced methods and techniques for technical studies and measuring Plant’s Performance.
- Coordinate analysis of non routine samples with third party laboratories.
- Develop new analytical test methods to improve lab’s performance and efficiency.
- Suggest modifications and improvements in testing and evaluation of new equipment and troubleshooting.
- Check integrity of sampling points and ensure sampling procedures are adhered to.
- Plan and supervise Lab Analysis Schedules and report deviations.
- Monitor stock of Laboratory Chemicals, spare parts, glassware, and consumables.
- Maintain up to date Laboratory Documentation system.
- Plan and supervise input and management of data in Laboratory Information Management System.
- Develop and maintain Business Management System (BMS) in conformity with ISO standards.
- Participate in audits and perform root cause analysis for closure of CAPAs.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills
- Bachelor Degree in Chemistry.
- 8 years of experience in chemistry activities including chemical analyses on initial, in process and final products, and samples within a large industrial organization, preferably in Oil and Gas.
