Role Overview
FreeWheel is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to plan and design software and web applications.
The role supports APIs, support tools, ad-serving systems, and services used to configure, manage, monitor, and execute digital real-time bidding campaigns.
The position is associated with Chicago and is described as onsite two days per week.
Responsibilities
- Identify product and technical requirements and determine integration needs with project stakeholders.
- Design, develop, customize, and support software and web applications and assist with software releases.
- Train junior Software Development Engineers on internally developed applications.
- Oversee technical documentation, software designs, evaluation plans, test results, manuals, and recommendations.
- Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship during the design process.
