Senior AI Cloud Architect

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Own cloud and solution architecture across application, data, integration, security, and AI layers.
• Define Azure architecture covering compute, storage, networking, databases, and AI services.
• Establish secure enterprise data platform and Azure OpenAI integrations.
• Ensure cybersecurity, data governance, residency, and AI governance compliance.
• Define architecture principles, patterns, non-functional requirements, and deployment standards.
• Collaborate with AI, DevOps, infrastructure, and application engineering teams.
• Review technical designs and maintain alignment with target architecture.
• Address scalability, performance, resilience, observability, and cost optimization.
• Support presales, architecture presentations, technical estimates, and solution workshops.
• Identify risks, dependencies, quotas, connectivity constraints, and AI service usage limitations.

Requirements

• Extensive experience architecting enterprise-scale solutions on Microsoft Azure.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Deep understanding of Azure networking, IAM, security, governance, and monitoring.
• Proven experience designing cloud-native applications and enterprise integration architectures.
• Familiarity with Azure OpenAI, Azure AI services, or AI Foundry.
• Strong expertise in relational databases, data platforms, APIs, and integration design.
• Knowledge of scalable, highly available, and cost-efficient architecture practices.
• Experience defining and enforcing architecture governance and non-functional requirements.
• Excellent communication skills for technical and business stakeholder engagement.
• Experience providing delivery support, technical estimates, and presales input.

Nice to Have

• Experience implementing enterprise Agentic AI or RAG-based solutions.
• Background in highly regulated or security-focused environments.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric as a future migration option.
• Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure AI Engineer certification.
• Familiarity with human-in-the-loop AI solutions or enterprise knowledge bases.
• Industry experience in oil and gas, energy, or industrial sectors.
• Arabic language proficiency.
