Role Overview

Qatar Airways is hiring a Senior Accountant for its record-to-report team within Global Business Services in Ahmedabad.

The role supports period-end closing, financial planning and reporting, accounting operations, and internal and external audits.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general ledger processing, provisions, accruals, journal entries, and bank and intercompany reconciliations.
  • Complete timely book closures, prepare financial statements, and review general ledger schedules.
  • Maintain the fixed assets register and perform fixed asset and lease accounting calculations.
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations and schedules for internal review and annual audit purposes.
  • Support tax filing, liaison, and assessment activities for applicable regions.
  • Resolve record-to-report queries within defined turnaround times.
  • Prepare IFRS supporting documentation and respond to internal and external audit queries.
  • Perform daily bank reconciliations, troubleshoot bank access issues, and manage team-member escalations.

Qualifications

  • CA Final, CA Inter, or a bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, or a similar field.
  • At least two years of relevant work experience.
  • Airline industry or tax consultant experience is preferred.
  • User-level experience with Oracle, SAP, or another ERP is preferred.
