Senior Accountant - Quality

Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve quality management processes and internal policies.
• Assist with internal file inspections and quality review procedures.
• Develop templates, guidance documents, and technical resources for Assurance teams.
• Support engagement teams with audit methodology and compliance-related questions.
• Monitor accounting and assurance standard updates and communicate changes internally.
• Assist with internal training sessions and technical presentations.
• Identify process, consistency, and efficiency improvements across the practice.
• Participate in special projects and firm-wide quality initiatives.
• Collaborate with partners, managers, and staff across service areas.

What You Bring

• CPA designation or working toward completion of the CPA program.
• Three to five years of public practice audit or assurance experience.
• Strong understanding of Auditing Standards and financial reporting frameworks such as ASPE, IFRS, or US GAAP.
• Interest in audit quality, professional standards, technical research, and process improvement.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and cross-team collaboration skills.
• Experience with CaseWare and audit methodology tools is an asset.

Workplace

• Hybrid position based in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Compensation

• Salary range is $75,000-$85,000 per year.
• The position may include a discretionary bonus program.
