Responsibilities
- Manage end to end Accounts Payable cycle for subcontractors, suppliers, and service providers
- Verify subcontractor payment certificates in coordination with Project Managers and QS teams
- Ensure proper validation of LPOs, GRNs, invoices, and supporting documents before processing payments
- Review and reconcile supplier and subcontractor statements regularly
- Process payments in accordance with contractual terms and agreed credit periods
- Maintain retention records, advance payments, and payment schedules
- Coordinate with procurement and project teams to resolve invoice discrepancies
- Prepare payment vouchers and ensure accurate ledger postings
- Monitor aging reports and ensure timely settlement of liabilities
- Handle VAT compliance related to payable transactions as per UAE FTA regulations
- Assist in month end closing activities and prepare AP related reports
- Support internal and external audit requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 4–6 years of experience in Accounts Payable within a UAE building contracting company
- Strong knowledge of construction accounting practices (subcontractor payments, retention, WPS coordination, project costing)
- Good understanding of UAE VAT regulations
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally, Focus, or similar construction ERP)
- Strong reconciliation and analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Good communication and coordination skills

Job Summary
- We are seeking a detail oriented and experienced Senior Accountant – Accounts Payable with proven experience in a UAE based building contracting company.
- The candidate will be responsible for managing subcontractor payments, supplier invoices, service payments, and ensuring compliance with contractual terms and UAE regulations.
- The role requires strong knowledge of construction accounting processes, project based cost allocation, and ERP systems.
Key Responsibilities

Required Qualifications
