Senior Accountant

Overview

Job Purpose

. Accounting & Financial Transactions

• Record, review, and maintain accurate accounting entries in line with company policies and local regulations.
• Monitor daily financial transactions and ensure proper posting in the system.
• Perform regular checks on trial balances and identify discrepancies.
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of accounting records and supporting documentation.

2. Payments & Bank Operations

• Prepare and execute supplier payment lists in coordination with internal approvals.
• Monitor and process bank transactions, ensuring accuracy and timely recording.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations and resolve any variances.
• Ensure smooth handling of transfers and payment workflows.

3. Reporting & Data Accuracy

• Maintain financial trackers and support the preparation of periodic reports.
• Ensure consistency and accuracy of financial data across systems.
• Support the Accounting Manager with reporting requirements when needed.
• Utilize Excel for data analysis, reconciliations, and reporting.

4. Systems & Process Coordination

• Ensure proper use of accounting systems (e.g., Nebim) and accurate data entry.
• Support system integrations and monitor data flow between platforms.
• Identify process gaps and support improvements to enhance efficiency and control.
• Maintain structured and organized financial processes.

5. Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure adherence to internal financial policies and regulations.
• Maintain organized and audit-ready documentation.
• Support audit requirements by preparing and providing necessary data.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within the retail or retail fashion industry.
• Strong understanding of accounting practices and tax regulations across GCC countries.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems; experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central (BC) is an advantage.
• Strong communication, organizational, and team coordination skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
