Role Overview
Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, financial reporting accuracy, compliance, closing processes, and decision-support insights.
Accounting and Closing
- Manage month-end closing, including journal entries, project revenue calculations, cost allocation, and contract reviews.
- Prepare financial packs covering monthly and quarterly profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow, project profit and loss, forecasts, and segment profit and loss.
- Maintain balance sheet supporting schedules and reconciliations.
Controls and Stakeholders
- Design and maintain controls for financial statement preparation.
- Investigate client queries, respond to internal and external stakeholders, and prepare requested financial schedules.
- Monitor projects managed under the entity.
Planning and Systems
- Assist with annual budgets and monthly rolling forecasts.
- Develop process-efficiency initiatives and coordinate with IT support on ERP issues.
- Complete other accounting tasks assigned from time to time.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
- CPA, CMA, or CiMA professional qualification.
- Knowledge of UAE and KSA VAT rules, financial statement controls, project accounting, segment accounting, and group accounting.
- Knowledge of statutory financial statements through consolidation.
- English speaking and writing ability is required.
Preferred Experience and Skills
- Big Four audit experience at Senior Associate level is preferred.
- Microsoft NAV knowledge is highly preferred.
- TMT sector experience is advantageous.
- Arabic speaking and writing ability is preferred.
Working Capabilities
- Advanced Microsoft Excel, strong organization, communication, presentation, interpersonal, analytical, and process-understanding skills.
- Ability to manage high-volume workloads and tight deadlines while taking ownership and initiative.
