Responsibilities
- Oversee day to day accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Bank Reconciliations
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports
- Ensure timely month end and year end closing activities
- Monitor cash flow, budgets, and financial forecasts
- Prepare and file VAT returns while ensuring compliance with UAE VAT regulations
- Coordinate internal and external audits and maintain audit ready financial records
- Review accounting entries and ensure compliance with IFRS and company policies
- Manage fixed assets, depreciation schedules, and inventory accounting
- Reconcile supplier and customer accounts and resolve discrepancies
- Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff
- Coordinate with banks, auditors, government authorities, and external stakeholders
- Prepare financial analysis and reports to support business decisions
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent is preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an Accountant, with at least 2 years in a Senior Accountant role
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, UAE VAT regulations, and financial reporting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Odoo, Tally, Zoho Books, etc.)
- Excellent communication skills in English
