Senior Accountant

About the Role

Bookkeeping and Accounting

• Record all income, expenses, and transfers and maintain the general ledger.
• Perform bank reconciliations across all accounts and manage petty cash.

Financial Reporting

• Prepare monthly and quarterly profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
• Produce consolidated reporting across entities and investments.
• Prepare management reports for the Director.

Accounts Payable and Receivable

• Process invoices and vendor payments and manage payment schedules and due dates.
• Track rental income, dividends, and other receivables.

Cash Flow and Treasury

• Monitor liquidity across all accounts and forecast cash flow.
• Manage foreign exchange exposure on multi-currency positions.
• Coordinate transfers between personal and corporate accounts.

Budgeting, Tax, and Compliance

• Prepare the annual budget and perform actual-versus-budget variance analysis.
• Complete VAT filing, UAE Corporate Tax preparation, and timely ESR and UBO regulatory filings.
• Liaise with external auditors.

Payroll and HR Finance

• Process salaries through WPS.
• Calculate end-of-service gratuity and leave provisions.
• Administer DEWS or pension contributions.

Pay

• Pay is AED 2,000 to AED 5,000 per month.

Work Location

• The role is performed in person.

Requirements

• Experienced accountant able to own the complete finance function across a multi-entity structure.
• Comfortable running the complete accounting cycle in a lean environment.
• Able to work within a maker-checker approval framework, with the accountant acting as maker.
• Experience managing multi-currency positions and transfers between personal and corporate accounts.
• Working knowledge of UAE VAT, UAE Corporate Tax, ESR, and UBO filings.
• Experience processing salaries through WPS and calculating end-of-service gratuity and leave provisions.
• Meticulous, discreet, and comfortable working independently in a lean environment.
