Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage network security infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security
- Investigate, analyze, and resolve Level 2 network security incidents
- Configure, implement, and maintain firewall policies across enterprise environments
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Site to Site and Remote Access VPNs
- Monitor and investigate IDS/IPS alerts and security events
- Manage secure web gateways, URL filtering, and web security policies
- Support and administer email security solutions and investigate phishing attempts
- Analyze network traffic patterns and investigate anomalies, respond to DDoS attacks
- Assist in conducting vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation activities
- Implement approved network security changes following organizational procedures
- Create, maintain, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and operational runbooks
- Prepare incident reports, Root Cause Analysis (RCA) documents, and post incident reviews
Requirements
- Experience in managing and monitoring enterprise network security infrastructure
- Hands on experience with firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, web and email security platforms
- Ability to investigate and resolve Level 2 network security incidents
- Experience with vulnerability assessments and remediation coordination
- Knowledge of change management processes and documentation

Job Overview
- We are seeking a skilled and proactive Network Security Engineer (L2) to join our cybersecurity operations team in Dubai.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, monitoring, and supporting enterprise network security infrastructure, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, web and email security platforms, and network monitoring solutions.
- The role requires hands on troubleshooting, incident response, security operations support, and participation in change and vulnerability management activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Security Operations: Monitor and manage network security infrastructure; investigate, analyze, and resolve Level 2 network security incidents; review security logs; escalate critical incidents; participate in incident response.
- Firewall Management: Configure, implement, and maintain firewall policies; conduct rule reviews; implement NAT, ACLs, and security zones; perform health checks and compliance reviews; troubleshoot connectivity issues.
- VPN Administration: Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Site to Site and Remote Access VPNs; support IPsec and SSL VPN; manage user access and authentication; monitor performance and compliance.
- IDS/IPS Management: Monitor and investigate IDS/IPS alerts; tune signatures and policies; analyze intrusion attempts; coordinate with security teams.
- Web and Email Security: Manage secure web gateways and URL filtering; support email security solutions; investigate phishing and malware incidents; implement security controls.
- Network Security Monitoring: Analyze network traffic patterns; monitor and respond to DDoS attacks; support threat intelligence integration; assist in identifying IOCs.
- Vulnerability Management: Assist in vulnerability assessments and security scans; coordinate remediation; validate fixes; track remediation status.
- Change Management: Implement approved network security changes; conduct impact assessments; ensure documentation and adherence to processes; participate in maintenance windows.
- Documentation & Reporting: Create and maintain SOPs and runbooks; prepare incident reports, RCA documents, and post incident reviews; maintain network and security architecture diagrams; document configuration changes.
