Responsibilities
- Patrol hotel premises interior and exterior to ensure security of guests, colleagues, and assets
- Monitor security cameras, alarm systems, and surveillance equipment
- Respond promptly to security incidents such as theft, vandalism, disturbances, or emergencies
- Act as part of the Emergency Response Team for fire alarms, medical emergencies, and evacuations
- Enforce hotel policies, access control procedures, and safety protocols
- Assist guests with directions, inquiries, and requests in a courteous manner
- Prepare accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other documentation
- Report and investigate violations of hotel policies, accidents, fire hazards, or safety issues
Requirements
- Minimum 1+ year of experience in a security or related safety role
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid security license/certification as required by local laws
- Certification in CPR, First Aid, or Basic Fire Safety is desirable
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Description
- The Security Officer protects the safety and security of guests, employees, and property.
- Reports to the Director, Security, Loss & Prevention.
What You Will Be Doing
- Patrol hotel premises interior and exterior to ensure security.
- Monitor security cameras, alarm systems, and surveillance equipment.
- Respond promptly to security incidents such as theft, vandalism, disturbances, or emergencies.
- Act as part of the Emergency Response Team.
- Enforce hotel policies, access control procedures, and safety protocols.
- Assist guests with directions, inquiries, and requests.
- Prepare accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other documentation.
- Report and investigate violations of hotel policies, accidents, fire hazards, or safety issues.
- Communicate effectively with other hotel departments and external emergency services.
- Follow safety, health, and fire prevention procedures.
- Assist in maintaining key control and access logs.
- Participate in ongoing training related to safety, security protocols, and emergency response.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1+ year of experience in a security or related safety role.
- Experience in patrol duties, CCTV monitoring, incident response, or emergency procedures is advantageous.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Certification in CPR, First Aid, or Basic Fire Safety is desirable.
- Valid security license/certification as required by local laws may be required.
- Strong understanding of security principles, safety practices, and emergency response techniques.
- Excellent observation, surveillance, and problem solving skills.
- Professional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm, alert, and decisive under pressure.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
