Role Overview
The employer is seeking a Scrap Metal FE and NF Operations Supervisor for its Warsan, Dubai facility.
The role oversees scrap metal production, purification, partner operations, logistics, trading, and product management.
The position supports recycling of ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metal from waste-to-energy plants.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage and develop operational activities and improve operational excellence from scrap metal production through final off-takers.
- Supervise partner storage and purification activities for different ferrous and non-ferrous metal streams across multiple sites.
- Coordinate partner work with in-house production and on-site purification of ferrous and non-ferrous scrap streams.
- Supervise inland and international transportation and logistics.
- Validate product mass balances and maintain records of product flows and sales.
- Review partner trading activities based on the quality of locally and internationally produced scrap metals.
- Coordinate with international experts to improve treatment and product sales.
- Maintain records of trading, shipping, prospecting, closed sales, and follow-up activities.
- Investigate and develop potential new off-takers for scrap metals.
Candidate Requirements
- Operational experience in scrap metal treatment and recycling is required.
- Candidates need analytical and practical skills for field-based work.
- Teamwork and independent initiative are required.
- Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams is required.
- Good written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Three to five years of metal recycling industry experience is preferred.
- Mechanical or chemical engineering education is a plus.
Work Setting
- The role is based at the Warsan, Dubai facility and requires near-permanent presence at off-taker yards and plants.
