Job Scope Summary
The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor oversees facilities support tasks and helps maintain process plant and power generation plant operations.
The role supports compliance with established production schedules and plant output requirements.
Physical Tasks
- Work with and assist team members with facilities support tasks.
- Provide MEP site facilities support.
- Support HVAC, insulation, scaffolding, painting, masonry, and joinery activities.
- Assist with site cleaning.
- Assist with manual repairs such as doors and cabinets.
- Use hand tools and power hand tools as required.
General Tasks
- Follow facility safety rules, procedures, and supervisory instructions.
- Report HSE procedure breaches to supervisors or management.
- Attend HSE inspections, audits, assessments, and daily or weekly meetings.
- Promote company health, safety, and environmental initiatives.
- Communicate with team members and supervisors.
- Coordinate team members.
- Drive a forklift and hold permits as required.
Qualifications and Training
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certified Scaffolding Inspector qualification.
- Fork truck driver qualification or authorization.
Experience
- Must be physically able to perform manual labour.
- Familiarity with HSE standards, procedures, and requirements.
- Experience performing physical tasks in indoor and outdoor areas.
- At least five years of experience with MEP, HVAC, painting, masonry, and joinery.
- At least three years of experience with hand tools and power tools.
- At least two years of experience managing a team of more than 10 people.
- At least two years of experience with scaffolding and insulation.
- Similar industry experience is a plus.
Competencies and Physical Abilities
- Safety focus, communication, and team management.
- Operating equipment as required.
- Heavy lifting, pulling, bending, climbing, and kneeling.
- Using power tools such as drills, saws, and wrenches.
- Cleaning, repairing, and maintenance.
