About the Role

TXM Solutions is hiring a Scaffolding Draftsman to prepare accurate scaffold design drawings and technical documentation using CAD software. Responsibilities

Prepare detailed scaffold design drawings including General Arrangement, fabrication, assembly, and erection drawings using AutoCAD
Develop scaffold plans, elevations, sections, and isometric drawings based on engineering calculations and project specifications
Revise and update drawings in response to engineering comments, client feedback, and project modifications
Ensure all drawings comply with company standards, client requirements, and applicable scaffolding codes and regulations
Coordinate with Design Engineers, Project Managers, Site Supervisors, and Operations teams
Prepare Material Take Offs, Bills of Materials, and other supporting documentation
Maintain drawing registers, revision histories, and document control procedures
Assist in preparing scaffold design packages and technical submissions for client review
Conduct site visits when required to verify dimensions and assess site conditions
Deliver drawings and design documentation within project schedules and deadlines

Requirements

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or related discipline
Minimum 3 5 years of experience as a Draftsman in scaffolding, construction, industrial, infrastructure, or oil & gas sectors
Proven experience preparing scaffold design drawings for access scaffolds, suspended scaffolds, temporary works, support structures, and event scaffolding
Experience with system scaffolds such as Ringlock, Cuplock, Kwikstage, Tube & Fitting, or similar
Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD 2D
Strong understanding of scaffolding systems, components, and erection methodologies
Ability to interpret engineering calculations, technical specifications, and construction drawings
Experience preparing Material Take Offs (MTOs) and Bills of Materials (BOM)

Job Purpose

The Scaffolding Draftsman is responsible for preparing accurate scaffold design drawings, layouts, and technical documentation using CAD software.
The role supports engineering and project teams by producing detailed drawings for safe erection, modification, and dismantling of scaffolding structures.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed scaffold design drawings including General Arrangement, fabrication, assembly, and erection drawings using AutoCAD.
Develop scaffold plans, elevations, sections, and isometric drawings based on engineering calculations and project specifications.
Revise and update drawings in response to engineering comments, client feedback, and project modifications.
Ensure all drawings comply with company standards, client requirements, and applicable scaffolding codes and regulations.
Coordinate with Design Engineers, Project Managers, Site Supervisors, and Operations teams.
Prepare Material Take Offs, Bills of Materials, and other supporting documentation where required.
Maintain drawing registers, revision histories, and document control procedures.

Qualifications

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or a related discipline.
AutoCAD Certification or equivalent CAD software certification is preferred.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Draftsman, preferably within scaffolding, construction, industrial, infrastructure, or oil & gas sectors.
Proven experience preparing scaffold design drawings for access scaffolds, suspended scaffolds, temporary works, support structures, and event scaffolding.
Experience working with system scaffolds such as Ringlock, Cuplock, Kwikstage, Tube & Fitting, or similar is highly preferred.
Experience supporting engineering teams on large scale construction or industrial projects is an advantage.
Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD 2D.
Knowledge of AutoCAD 3D, Revit, BIM, or other 3D modelling software is advantageous.
Strong understanding of scaffolding systems, components, and erection methodologies.
Ability to interpret engineering calculations, technical specifications, and construction drawings.
Experience preparing Material Take Offs and Bills of Materials.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
