SAP FICO Lead / Solution Architect (S/4HANA)

Overview

Role Summary

Solution Architecture & Design

• Lead the design and architecture of SAP FICO solutions aligned with business and IT strategy.
• Own end-to-end SAP FI/CO processes, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, Internal Orders, Product Costing, and Profitability Analysis.
• Provide deep expertise in Funds Management (FM) and Budget Control Management (BCM).
• Design and implement solutions for company code setup, restructuring, mergers, acquisitions, and organizational changes.
• Translate business finance requirements into scalable, secure, and future-ready SAP solutions.
• Act as the Finance Solution Architect for SAP S/4HANA and SAP RISE landscapes.

Sap S And 4hana & Sap Rise Migration

• Lead SAP S/4HANA migration, system conversion, upgrade, and SAP RISE transformation initiatives.
• Define and execute SAP RISE migration strategies, including assessment, readiness, planning, cutover, and post-migration support.
• Collaborate with SAP Basis, Infrastructure, Security, and Integration teams during migration activities from on-premise or hosted environments (e.g., G42) to SAP RISE.
• Support migration of finance master data, transactional data, historical data, and configuration objects.
• Perform financial data reconciliation and validation before and after migration.
• Ensure compliance with SAP best practices and SAP RISE operational standards.

Testing & Quality Assurance

• Lead end-to-end testing activities following SAP RISE migration and system transformation projects.
• Define and oversee:

O User Acceptance Testing (Uat)

O Cutover Validation Testing

• o Hypercare and Post-Go-Live Validation
• Validate critical finance business processes after migration, including:
• o Procure-to-Pay (P2P)
• o Order-to-Cash (O2C)
• o Record-to-Report (R2R)
• o Budget Management
• o Treasury and Banking Processes
• o Funds Management and BCM Processes
• Ensure successful execution of end-to-end business process testing following migration from G42 to SAP RISE.
• Support performance testing, interface testing, security testing, and operational readiness validation.
• Coordinate business sign-offs and migration readiness approvals.

Integration & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across:
• o SAP MM
• o SAP Ariba

O Sap Successfactors (Core & Talent Modules)

O Sap Analytics Cloud (Sac)

• Ensure seamless integration between SAP Finance and upstream/downstream applications.
• Validate interfaces, APIs, IDocs, middleware integrations, and third-party systems during migration and testing cycles.
• Support SAP BTP integration and extension scenarios where applicable.

Analytics & Reporting

• Design and support SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) solutions, including:
• o Executive Dashboards
• o Financial Reporting
• o Planning and Forecasting
• o Budget Analytics
• Ensure reporting consistency and reconciliation across migrated environments.

Governance & Leadership

• Provide leadership and guidance to functional consultants and delivery teams.
• Act as a trusted advisor to business and finance leadership.
• Participate in solution governance, architecture reviews, and design authority meetings.
• Drive risk management, issue resolution, and stakeholder communications throughout project lifecycles.
• Support SAP Cloud ALM monitoring, testing governance, and post-go-live stabilization activities.

Required Skills & Experience

• Extensive experience as an SAP FICO Lead, Solution Architect, or Finance Architect.
• Deep hands-on knowledge of:
• o SAP FI
• o SAP CO

O Budget Control Management (Bcm)

• Strong experience in SAP landscape architecture and enterprise solution design.
• Proven delivery experience in:

O Sap Upgrade Projects

• o SAP RISE Migration and Transformation Programs
• Hands-on experience in migration from hosted/on-premise environments to SAP RISE.
• Strong understanding of SAP RISE architecture, operating model, and cloud transformation principles.
• Experience leading end-to-end testing, validation, reconciliation, and cutover activities following SAP RISE migrations.
• Solid integration knowledge with:
• o SAP MM
• o SAP Ariba
• o SAP SuccessFactors
• o Third-party systems and interfaces
• Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) for analytics, planning, and dashboarding.
• Experience with SAP Cloud ALM, test management, monitoring, and operational readiness activities.
• Strong understanding of financial controls, compliance, audit, and reporting requirements.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work in complex, multi-system enterprise environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP S/4HANA Finance Professional Certification.
• SAP RISE with SAP implementation or migration experience.
• SAP BTP Certification and experience with cloud-native integration services.
• SAP Cloud ALM experience.
• Experience in large-scale transformation, cloud migration, or global rollout programs.
• Experience supporting migration from G42, private cloud, or on-premise environments to SAP RISE.
• Background in Finance, Accounting, CPA, CMA, ACCA, or equivalent qualifications is a plus.
