NTT DATA is seeking a SAP Basis L3 Consultant in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.
The role leads SAP BASIS operations across on-premise and SAP RISE landscapes.
The position supports service delivery, transformation initiatives, operational excellence, and continuous process improvement.
SAP operations and delivery
- Oversee incident management, change management, project coordination, and knowledge transfer.
- Support SAP S/4HANA and SAP OpenText migration initiatives.
- Execute SAP patching, maintenance activities, readiness assessments, Simplification Item checks, and ABAP Test Cockpit analysis.
- Perform Support Package upgrades and SAP BW NetWeaver upgrades.
- Manage incidents and service requests within SLA targets and resolve change management issues.
Technology environment
- Administer AWS-hosted SAP application and database servers.
- Provision Tricentis test automation tools and configure SAP Single Sign-On.
- Manage SAP Cloud ALM monitoring, SAP Datasphere transport management, and SAP BTP administration.
- Manage SAP Solution Manager ChaRM cycles and categorization schemas.
- Optimize SAP HANA performance through table partitioning, thread analysis, and out-of-memory dump analysis.
Resilience and stakeholder support
- Lead disaster recovery switchovers by coordinating cross-functional teams with minimal business disruption.
- Prepare governance reports and stakeholder presentations.
- Support operational excellence, issue resolution, and continuous process improvement initiatives.

Requirements
- Ability to lead end-to-end SAP BASIS operations across on-premise and SAP RISE landscapes.
- Experience supporting SAP S/4HANA, SAP OpenText, and SAP BW NetWeaver upgrades or migrations.
- Ability to administer AWS-hosted SAP environments and related application and database servers.
- Ability to manage incidents, service requests, and changes within SLA targets.
- Ability to coordinate cross-functional disaster recovery switchovers with minimal business disruption.
- Ability to analyze SAP HANA performance issues, including partitioning, thread analysis, and out-of-memory dumps.
