Position Overview

The Sales Merchandiser is a frontline role responsible for product availability, visibility, and execution standards across pharmacies, modern trade, and other retail channels.

The role works with Sales, Supply Chain, and outlet teams to deliver field execution, identify operational gaps, and provide market insights.

Pharmacy Execution and Visibility

  • Ensure compliant product placement across assigned pharmacies under company standards and UAE healthcare regulations.
  • Maintain shelf pricing, labelling, and approved promotional materials.
  • Conduct in-store checks, correct visibility gaps, and support product accessibility.

Availability and Stock Ownership

  • Monitor shelf and back-store stock levels to maintain continuous product availability.
  • Coordinate replenishment with Sales and Delivery teams and prevent lost sales.
  • Maintain stock accuracy, proper handling, and escalation of supply risks or shortages.

Expiry and Risk Control

  • Apply FIFO principles across outlets to minimize expiry-related losses.
  • Identify near-expiry products and coordinate corrective action.
  • Monitor and report expiry, quality, safety, and regulatory risks.

Field Coverage and Reporting

  • Execute daily visits according to the approved route plan and prioritize high-impact pharmacies.
  • Optimize routes and time allocation to maximize productivity and execution quality.
  • Capture stock, availability, execution, competitor, pricing, and market data using approved tools.
  • Submit complete daily reports with risks, gaps, opportunities, and recommendations.

Relationships and Compliance

  • Build professional relationships with pharmacists and store teams and resolve operational challenges.
  • Represent the company with professionalism, integrity, and adherence to compliance standards.
  • Support basic product awareness without breaching regulatory or ethical guidelines.
  • Maintain documentation and escalate non-compliant practices, operational issues, and compliance concerns.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A healthcare, business, or related diploma is a plus.
  • At least two years of experience in pharmacy merchandising, healthcare field operations, or FMCG with pharmacy exposure is required.
  • UAE pharmacy or healthcare-outlet experience is preferred.
  • Exposure to pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, or wellness products is advantageous.
  • A valid UAE driving licence is required.

Technical and Functional Skills

  • Strong understanding of pharmacy merchandising and stock management practices.
  • Knowledge of expiry management and regulated product handling.
  • Familiarity with mobile reporting tools and basic healthcare compliance standards.

Competencies

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • High accountability, ownership, clear communication, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently across multiple locations.
