Role overview

Meliá Desert Palm Dubai is seeking a results-driven Sales Executive for its Sales & Marketing team.

The role develops partnerships across corporate, leisure, and other market segments while driving hotel revenue and business targets.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Sales & Marketing to achieve hotel budget and revenue targets.
  • Conduct daily sales calls and monthly or quarterly business reviews with contracted accounts.
  • Research prospects, build a pipeline, follow up on leads, and arrange client meetings.
  • Prepare proposals, explain services and pricing, and help clients select suitable packages.
  • Oversee hotel-space bookings and reservations for accurate availability and arrangements.
  • Coordinate with hotel departments to support seamless client and guest experiences.
  • Negotiate prices and coordinate catering, lodging, seating, and security for bookings.
  • Maintain client contact, gather feedback, and identify future business opportunities.
  • Support annual sales targets, assess performance, and adjust approaches to increase patronage.
  • Conduct property and facility inspections for potential clients.
  • Advise the Director of Sales & Marketing on progress toward sales targets.
  • Stay informed about hotel facilities, local attractions, service standards, payment methods, and credit policy.

Candidate requirements

  • 2–3 years of experience in a similar hospitality Sales Executive role.
  • Leisure sales experience is highly recommended but not mandatory.
  • A UAE travel-trade network is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • A target-driven, proactive approach and comfort in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • A bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • A valid UAE driving license is preferred because client visits and site inspections may be required.
  • Fluent English is required; additional languages are advantageous.
