Role objective

The Sales Associate works to achieve store sales goals while meeting ALO’s experience and brand standards.

The role creates an authentic customer experience through genuine connection, product education, and community engagement.

Key responsibilities

  • Drive and exceed sales goals by leading sales initiatives and optimizing productivity and efficiency.
  • Engage customers and provide a friendly, easy-to-shop environment.
  • Build daily client relationships and resolve customer needs quickly and effectively.
  • Analyze reports with store leadership to support action plans and identify growth opportunities.
  • Maintain sales-floor coverage and lead selling initiatives as needed.
  • Educate guests and staff about products, the community, and ALO culture.
  • Process shipments and support product flow, visual merchandising, and replenishment.
  • Execute front-of-house and back-of-house procedures according to company policies.
  • Keep the store clean, safe, inviting, and operating efficiently.

Qualifications

  • One or more years of prior work experience in a client-centric sales environment is preferred.
  • Passion for customer service and delivering exceptional experiences is expected.
  • The associate should be self-motivated and focused on achieving results individually and as part of a team.
  • The role requires constant movement throughout all areas of the store.
  • The associate must be able to lift, push, carry, or otherwise move up to 50 pounds.
  • The associate must be able to lift, bend, kneel, climb, crawl, twist, and safely use a ladder.
  • The associate must be able to stand and move for an entire shift.

Schedule

  • Full-time non-exempt associates are expected to have open availability seven days a week for 32 to 40 hours.
  • Employees are expected to work during the blackout period from the week of American Thanksgiving through the first week of January.

Workplace

  • The role requires constant movement throughout the retail store, including the sales floor and back of house.
