Safety Supervisor

Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct design/layout safety reviews and verify equipment & utilities (hoods, suppression systems, gas detection, electrical protections)
• Oversee contractor HSE practices and support pre-opening safety readiness activities
• Track and validate required permits, certifications, and regulatory compliance requirements prior to opening
• Execute scheduled and unannounced safety audits, monitor performance, and drive corrective and preventive actions
• Lead incident investigations, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
• Monitor critical safety controls including fire suppression systems, electrical safety, LOTO, hot work, and work-at-height activities
• Support emergency preparedness programs, drills, evacuation readiness, and first-aid compliance
• Train and coach team members on HIRA/JSA, permit to work requirements, and safe systems of work
• Maintain safety dashboards, KPIs, reports, and governance requirements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance and continuous safety improvement across operations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety, Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field
• 3–5 years of experience in EHS/FLS within QSR, retail, hospitality, or multi-site operations
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations, risk management, auditing, incident investigation, and contractor safety management
• Experience in RCA, PSSR, compliance monitoring, and safety reporting
• Professional certifications such as NEBOSH IGC, OSHA 30, ISO 45001 Internal Auditor, First Aid/CPR, or equivalent are preferred
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
• Arabic \\ English languages proficiency is preferred
• Willingness to travel between sites as required
