Safety Officer (With Factory & Interior fit-out experience)

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with UAE HSE regulations, company policies, and project safety requirements.
• Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments in the joinery factory and project sites.
• Lead toolbox talks, safety meetings, safety awareness programs, and induction training.
• Monitor PPE use, housekeeping, safe storage, and compliance with safe work practices.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and prepare corrective-action reports.
• Coordinate emergency response drills, first aid, and fire safety activities.
• Maintain HSE documentation, inspection reports, permits, and statutory records.
• Identify hazards and recommend preventive and corrective measures.
• Work with project and factory supervisors during installation, fabrication, lifting, and machine operations.

Required Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of UAE experience as a Safety Officer in joinery, interior fit-out, or construction.
• Mandatory experience in both joinery factory operations and interior fit-out project sites.
• Knowledge of ISO audits and Dubai Airport Authority approvals.
• NEBOSH IGC certification is mandatory.
• Knowledge of UAE HSE regulations and Dubai Municipality requirements.
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
• Ability to conduct safety training and toolbox talks.

Preferred Qualifications

• IOSH certification is preferred.
• A UAE driving licence is preferred.
• Preferred experience includes joinery manufacturing, luxury retail fit-out, commercial interior fit-out, carpentry workshops, woodworking machinery safety, and site installation safety.

Workplace

• Work location is in person across the joinery factory and interior fit-out project sites in Dubai, UAE.
