Role Description
This is a full-time Procurement Specialist role for an on-site position in Dubai.
The role manages end-to-end procurement, including supplier evaluation, contract negotiation, purchase orders, vendor relationships, cost efficiency, and material quality and availability.
Procurement and Materials
- Process material requisitions from production based on approved project requirements.
- Update and verify material requisition pricing against supplier quotations and project budgets.
- Track materials from purchase through delivery to factories or project sites.
- Prepare, issue, and share purchase orders with suppliers and internal teams.
- Schedule and coordinate material collections and deliveries.
- Handle site material procurement according to project schedules and specifications.
Coordination and Controls
- Coordinate with design, production, estimation, and project managers on technical and commercial requirements.
- Prepare and submit fully documented payment requests to Finance and the CFO.
- Obtain requisition and procurement approvals according to company policy.
- Arrange and manage material and finish samples as requested by management or the responsible project manager.
- Coordinate machine maintenance to support uninterrupted production operations.
Suppliers and Reporting
- Negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms for special materials and subcontracted works.
- Identify alternative materials to optimize cost and availability.
- Maintain and upgrade supplier databases, including payment terms and performance records.
- Consolidate project procurement reports from spreadsheets for tracking and management review.
- Visit suppliers and subcontractors to check quality compliance and delivery timing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- At least five years of experience in the retail fit-out industry.
- Procurement certifications are an added advantage.
- Strong supplier evaluation and vendor relationship skills.
- Experience negotiating contracts and favorable terms.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge of procurement practices and processes.
Compensation
- The source states pay of AED 1 per month; this appears nominal or potentially placeholder compensation.
Workplace
- The role is on-site in Dubai and requires in-person work.
