Overview
- We are seeking an experienced Safety Engineer (HSE) to join the supervision consultancy team for a large scale infrastructure development project located approximately 100 km north of Jeddah.
- The selected candidate will be responsible for monitoring and enforcing health, safety, and environmental standards on site.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations on site.
- Ensure contractor compliance with project safety plans, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular site safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure safe working practices.
- Review contractor submissions including HSE plans, risk assessments, method statements, and safety procedures.
- Monitor construction activities related to road networks and multi utility infrastructure, ensuring safety compliance for works including: potable water networks, firefighting systems, gas distribution systems, stormwater drainage and sanitary sewage systems, power distribution (MV & LV), street lig
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and ensure proper corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety awareness sessions, and safety training for site personnel.
- Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work practices.
- Maintain and prepare HSE reports, inspection records, and safety documentation as required by the project.
- Coordinate with the supervision team and contractor to ensure continuous improvement of site safety performance.
