S & M - Integrity Structural Engineer

Role Overview

Required Experience

• 1–6 years of civil and structural engineering experience in oil and gas, petrochemical, energy, or similar brownfield environments.
• Proven experience with structural integrity and risk-based inspection.
• Knowledge of equipment supports, foundations, pipe racks, vessels, towers, stacks, marine structures, cooling towers, and other civil infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of Eurocode, ACI, ASIC, API, and CTI standards.
• Exposure to API 580/581.
• Experience interpreting inspection reports, drawings, laser scans, and NDT results.
• Experience with risk analysis, criticality ranking, and inspection planning.

Responsibilities

• Perform risk-based and condition-based assessments of onshore and offshore structures.
• Identify anomalies from structural inspection reports and provide repair recommendations.
• Define inspection intervals and acceptance criteria using RBI, IDMS data, historical failures, and degradation mechanisms.
• Develop inspection scopes, NDE selections, and execution plans for structural elements.
• Review inspection findings, photographs, laser scans, and NDT results.
• Manage brownfield engineering design and support reliability governance reviews.
• Support turnarounds, shutdowns, and field walk-downs.
• Collaborate with mechanical, RBI, inspection, process, and HSE teams.
• Provide insights into advanced inspection technologies and maintenance strategies.
• Train and mentor new team members.

Technical and Professional Skills

• Experience with RBI tools such as Meridium or CREDO is listed.
• Knowledge of structural damage, corrosion, degradation, and failure mechanisms is required.
• Microsoft Office experience, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is required.
• Strong communication, teamwork, leadership, self-motivation, and interpersonal skills are required.
